Bachelor Party in Mainland Mex?

So I'm having my bachelor party (6-8 guys) in mid April for a 4 day, 3 night kind of trip. Flying out of LAX. We're looking for someplace in Mex (probably Mainland) where we can rent a house with decent point breaks, maybe some fishing and enough of a little town to hit the bar but nothing too crazy. Is Punta Mita a good option? How crowded are they in April? Wave quality? We all surf and want some decent waves (preferably points) but aren't looking for death barrels on this trip. Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.

Punta Mita has the swell window of Fernald's. Just look at a map and it is obvious why. Also nothing to do there except hang at the bar at the four seasons. I also don't like Puerto Vallarta. Just go to Xijuan and blow it out or just go to Cabo.

oh, party with trunks you say...

two-cents on mainland sorte aka bachelor party;
Manzanillo: easy access w/ fly in and out, warm water, fun entertainment for roving 'puppy pack', game fish [panga's to sport fisher's your budget] and short jaunts for surf of quality, swell window is at least 180' from NW to SE...i am definitely on board, 2 thumbs down with a twist on the region of jalisco, chased it in the 60's and early 70's, very esoteric...

PS Once you are going to spend that much money I would just go to Costa. Better surf, better girls, better everything.

Agreed. We looked into Costa, we really wanted to go to Nicaragua, but because of the group's time constraints of 4 days 3 nights pretty much anything but Mex is out. Otherwise we spend half the trip on a layover in Miami or Atlanta instead of in the water.
