Ghost Tree was insane. One surfer died on the scene. I've got 600+ images to process. How was it locally?

My back is wrecked after spending 8 hours behind the wheel, and another 8 on my feet. No energy for photoshopping files right now. Anyway, here's another pic. Not representative of the quality of the later ones still downloading (I shot 4 gigs) This is just to give you a sense of the power and juice.

So sad about the person who died. It really brings home how dangerous the ocean can be. It humbles me.
Inside CP and the surrounding area was fun early this morning. It seemed about chest to head high where I was, but I can never tell. The conditions were beautiful and there was a big crowd to prove it.
Hopefully there will be some good shots of this week floating around.

Last one for tonite. The quality is poor because I shot it from several miles away with 800mm of lens. I wish I could've shot from a ski. A bunch of the ones taken from the bluff came out nice too. Stay tuned. After the swell passes (going out shooting tomorrow) I'll start editing.

Those pictures are totally WILD!!!!! Are to believe.
El Cap was a bit more mellow but definitely hot, good crowd in the midday sun which was blazing...and the surf looked great!!!!

shot this from the wharf with a 300mm almost into the sun, took some contrast and tonal adjusting in PS but you get the idea. I have plenty more from Leds and east side of the wharf ...What a great swell that was.
