This is a little off topic, but remember how in Jaws 1 there was a fatal attack, beach closure/press conference, then heat wave; sort of like what's happening now? If there were another attack today, my superstitions would overload.

everytime any surfer gets in the water you take a chance but i think its worth it :D

yes, everytime we do anything...there are risks; probabilities differ but basically - living and living fully...e.g., surfing, flying, motocrossing, loving...it is all risky BUT the gains can be so GREAT! So should we not take risks so we can live very "SAFE" but dispassionate lives?
anyways, eeeks on shark attacks and very very sorry to hear about the veteran tri-athelete:(
