my boyfriend keeps talking about a surf trip to Ireland in April. Neither of us have idea about the breaks over their and I was wondering if any of you knew about the big old green island?
Ireland is a great place to surf, but it depends on what tme of year and where you want to go. The north west and south west are the best bets. A geat place to start is bundorran which is probably the biggest surf community out there and then go to a pub and start talking with the locals who are super friedly. The waves there have quite a punch at times! :D I have heaps more info too if you need it.

Went on a family trip in '03, didn't get out surfing but hope you allow time for some sightseeing too, the place is beautiful.

Yes! Ireland is a great place to surf according to my cousin when she was visit past few days that was really good place, all their family was enjoyed. Since they love in beaches they are planning to have a tour in Ibiza (http://www.ibizaspain.info/) because they heard that Ibiza beach (http://www.ibizaspain.info/) is also attractive beaches a horseshoe bay with fine white sand encircled by pine woods. Some of them who were visited was totally impress the setting.

Yip Ireland has super fun surf. Just beware. Last time I was there I received several proposals from local fisherman. Almost took them up on it they offered all the lobster I could eat and to bring me out to deserted reef breaks anytime I wanted. Man what was I thinking I should go back LOL.
