Campus Point Seaweed?

Just realized this, but there hasn't been much seaweed at campus point (under water), does it die during the colder months?

it actually grows faster with the colder water. but the last big swell we had cleaned it all up. look around the beach, its all there.:)

The kelp grew so much last Winter because there was so little swell to rip out the footholds. The kelp does prefer cooler water, so the La Nina conditions we've got right now should keep it growing strong...

many moons ago, there were kelp beds in the area that could knock down a wind bump...but sadly most people are eating kelp in their ice cream now.
