Cruising around & observing the surf...

Today had breakfast at that new restaurant where the Brown Pelican used to be. The food was great and all, but the surf was firing until the wind came up. After lunch during high tide walked out to Sandbar; one sole sponger was getting some nice ones. After that checked out the Montecito spots. All looked great but for the wind and high tide. This afternoon could be epic if it glasses off at all.

Con was disappointing this afternoon, makes 2 Sundays in a row. Heard there were some fun bombs in the morning. I got there around 1 and it was fun but dropping fast. Incon shoulder high and weak. Got better with the tide around 3 but a second round of crowd hit it and it wasn't much fun. Oh well, it was a beautiful day out there. Weather at the Con was totally different from town, when I left home it was blown out hard. Con was almost glassy and warm. When I left it went offshore.

Everything around Isla Vista looked like it would have been way fun had it not been blowing so hard... Even the outer reefs were breaking at low tide

AM conditions were great, except for the 60 guys out at 7am. High winds and high tide slimmed the crowds in the afternoon. I checked it this morning on my ride to work, glassy with crowds, just little swell. It was fun while it lasted though
